I am a Christian.

I am a born-again child of Christ.

I am not perfect…but I strive to be perfect like my Lord.

I broke God’s Law.

I broke the 9th commandment….”You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”

I was a liar.

I broke the 8th commandment….”You shall not steal.”

I was a thief.

I broke the 7th commandment….”You shall not commit adultery.”…Jesus said whoever looks upon a woman [or man] to lust after her [or him] has committed adultery with her [or him] in his [or her] heart.

I was an adulterer.

I broke the third commandment…”You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.”

I was blasphemous.

I broke the 6th commandment…”You shall not murder.”…Jesus said if you’ve ever hated anyone, you are a murderer in God’s eyes.

I was a murderer.

I was a liar, a thief, an adulterer, a blasphemer, a murderer, and the Lord knows I broke a million other commandments.

I was a sinner…bound for eternity in Hell.

I was dirty, blemished in God’s eyes.

I was given a gift…a gift of forgiveness from my Lord Jesus when He died on the cross.

I am clean, forgiven, and thankful that Jesus saved me from my deserved eternal death in Hell.

I am a born again, child of Christ.

I am a Christian.

I know I’m going to heaven when I die…….do you?
